Bookings for celebrations are one of the truly lousy aspects of #modernfootball The only possible exception is if they're deliberately looking to rile up opposition supporters, but even that's debatable. Like VAR ruining goal celebrations, all the joy is being sucked out of the game.

You've just defined a plastic fan. Being a plastic in my mind is nothing to do with distance or being able to go. It's being able to change your allegiance. No idea of the numbers, but it's started to happen. Some follow a player which is bizarre IMHO #modernfootball

VAR, like so many aspects of #modernfootball , is about money. They need us to buy into the illusion that it makes things better. Trouble is most of us can see the king is in the all together!

Something very PL about the Dutch toiling to find a way through a very well organised, but so far unambitious Japanese team, who are hoping for something on the break. Like too much #modernfootball it doesn't make for good viewing.
