You know about the Boeing whistleblower who was mysteriously found dead right before testifying a few weeks back. You may not know what he saw at Boeing. @moetkacik got her hands on John Barnett's legal complaint, and relates his story here:
Suicide Mission
What Boeing did to all the guys who remember how to build a plane

Afaik none of these people are related so like. What “revolting war crime family” is Moe talking about.

The lawyer who busted open Jeffrey Epstein’s sweetheart deal with then-U.S. Attorney (& Trump Labor Secy) Alex Acosta has sued DOJ for the goods on Trump’s deferred prosecution agreement with Boeing over the 737 Max crashes. Great @moetkacik report:
Blowing the Door Off Boeing’s ‘Epstein Deal’
The lawyer who busted open Jeffrey Epstein’s sweetheart deal sues DOJ for the goods on Trump’s slimy deferred prosecution agreement with the 737 manufacturer.

John Barnett was at the end of a 7-year whistleblower lawsuit against Boeing over its shoddy construction of the 787 Dreamliner. A trial was set for June. He was in good spirits. Then he turned up dead. @moetkacik talks to friends & family who say it "makes no sense":
The Strange Death of a Boeing Whistleblower
There’s no way America’s last great manufacturer murdered a prominent critic … is there?

This week on the Prospect’s Weekly Roundup, Executive Editor @ddayen and Investigative Editor @moetkacik break down presidential building projects: ICE raids near Obama’s Presidential Center and Trump’s East Wing demolition. trib.al/V7viS60
The Prospect Weekly Roundup: Presidential Construction Projects - The American Prospect
David Dayen and Maureen Tkacik talk about the ICE raid in South Shore Chicago, in the shadow of the Obama Presidential Center, and the destruction of the East Wing of the White House in Washington.

The shift in the American Medical Association, once the most pro-corporate lobby in health care, is astonishing. Today at a delegate meeting, @moetkacik writes, it is debating a resolution to seek a federal ban on the corporate practice of medicine:
The AMA Debates a Federal Ban on Corporate Medicine
A new guard is pushing the (once passionately pro-corporate) doctors’ trade group to clamp down on health care profiteering.

Steward Health went bankrupt, it has seen investigations on 2 continents & indictments on 1, and its CEO was subpoenaed by the Senate HELP Committee.
Meanwhile he was hanging out at the Olympics in literally Versailles.
Another @moetkacik banger:
Let Them Eat Invoices
Steward grifter Ralph de la Torre, supposedly under criminal investigation on two continents, is now telecommuting from Versailles.

That's Maureen Tkacik of The American Prospect.

That isn't even subtle.

All the finest people working for David Dayen at The American Prospect.

1. Traister's article sucks on its own before you get to
2. Tkacik being an conspiracy addled generally and an anti-semite specifically, in desperate need of an intervention.

Lots of examples of her being in a bad place for years and nobody close to her appears to have even tried to slow it down.

All week, @theprospect is running stories on the business of health care: the inner workings of the monopolies & cartels extracting greater sums for lousier outcomes, & the policies pushing doctors & nurses to the brink. @moetkacik & I have the intro:
A Sick System
The business of health care in America is deeply out of whack.

You should tell your anti-Zionist friends to stop making arguments that cast Jews as vampires trying to infiltrate and control places where actual human beings live, and then maybe the rest of us will interpret their “criticisms” as something other than poorly veiled bigotry.

So @moetkacik and I looked at the 10 drugs that made yesterday's Medicare price negotiation list, and 10 that didn't.
Including many of Novo Nordisk's insulins suggests aggressiveness from the White House; missing blockbusters explain the law's limits.
Medicare Price Negotiation: Ten Drugs That Made the List, and Ten That Should Have
Advocates were thrilled that Medicare will negotiate the price of several insulins. But other high-profit drugs are protected by the new program’s rules.
