Anyway. I got to go to several of the legislative summits they hosted on maternal mortality, black maternal mortality, reproduction rights, &c. Even got to be part of NC’s Momnibus bill drafting that was shaped by it.

Hard not to be really angry looking back even as we continue the work.

Harris: Expand child tax credit, $50k small business tax credit, expand Medicare to cover home healthcare, build 3M homes, provide $25k down payment assistance, Momnibus Maternal Mortality Bill, and a ceasefire in Gaza.

Trump: "They're eating the dogs."

Yes, clearly a policy problem.

We’ve passed 9 discharge petitions since Johnson became Speaker. Those need GOP signatures. This graph isn’t even still accurate. Underwood got another Momnibus-related bill out of the House in July. This idea we can do it solely by ourselves & it’s futile to do basic bipartisanship is just dumb.

The US has one of the highest maternal mortality rates among high-income countries, with stark racial disparities. The Momnibus Act, just reintroduced in the Senate, will address the drivers of the Black maternal health crisis. It’s time to protect mothers and perinatal workers.

So many white leftists have told me that M4A is more important than the Momnibus Black Maternal Health Bill and that Lauren Underwood and Kamala Harris would be helping more by abandoning it and instead supporting Bernie's M4A bill.

I remember seeing your campaign ad when you were Nurse Underwood, and I thought, That's a good idea, I bet she could do it. Then I heard about your Momnibus bill. I wish that had passed right away! It'd be really good for the nation. Maybe we'll get a blue wave and it'll pass next year-hope so!

The Momnibus would make critical investments to improve maternal health and save the lives of mothers and babies. While no single bill can solve this crisis alone, this legislation is a critical step forward. We’re proud to support it.
