August 7 1997, Mystical Ninja starring Goemon debuted in Japan as Ganbare Goemon: Neo Momoyama Bakufu no Odori!

The series was very popular with children in Japan, including promotional events at elementary schools and the birth of the series Anime Ganbare Goemon!

Fushimi-jō (伏見城), known also as Momoyama Castle (桃山城), was built by Toyotomi Hideyoshi between 1592-94 as his retirement base.
Stripped & dismantled by the Tokugawa from 1623, a replica (now closed) was built in 1964 as part of "Castle Land".

Green screen technology was invented at Osaka Castle in the late 1500s by Emperor Toyotomi Hideyoshi during the Azuchi–Momoyama Period. Look it up!

Genkō-an is 1 of 8 temples that claim to have received bloody floorboards from Fushimi Momoyama Castle (伏見城/桃山城).

These were incorporated as ceilings into the temple worship halls, in order to pray for the souls sacrificed during the Siege of Fushimi (伏見城の戦い) in 1600 (decades after the event).

This unique samurai helmet from the Momoyama period (1573-1615) is covered in boar hair and features two gold-lacquered wooden horns. The front symbol, also made of lacquered wood with gold details, is a talisman called an inome, representing a boar's eye.
