This is a Australian VG series Chrysler Valiant Pacer, early 1970's. This was Chryslers answer to the Holden Monaro. There were never many of these made.

Big problem on the Monaro
Feral pigs are a massive issue across Australia. They can cause tremendous damage to environments, wildlife and cultural sites. And, like many invasive species, government funding of their control and eradication is grossly insufficient.

An earlier version of the GTS, seen in this 1976 brochure, is shown with the legendary Monaro nameplate, best-known on 2-door coupés, and wearing a dramatic paint scheme. Holden decided to retire the Monaro name in 1977, waiting until 2001 for it to be revived.

More Monaro weather. Temperature crept up to 13. Bright sunshine this late afternoon, bit too brisk for drinks in the garden. Irish beef with stout stew on stove, to be served with colcannon. A robust red to wash it down I think.
