Just wanting to bump this wonderful @www.mixingmartialarts.com's article again. Super cool look at strikers in MMA with a Karate twist, Khun Khmer, and Moraingy. It's what got me way too hyped for Tekken's disappointing Moraingy representative.

Saw miary zo's alternate costume and just had to draw it. She has some nice martial art moves but how much of her moves are god powers was surprising

I'm pretty sure she was Tifa originally. Those big bracelets don't make sense. Upon reflection, they're probably gonna recycle Josie's moves. Moraingy is bare knuckle kickboxing right? I'm gonna love it nonetheless.
Damn! She's trying to get me back to playing Tekken. I probably will later this year for Armor King.

Btw, here's Moraingy, the fighting style Miary Zo is using. It's a martial art native to Madagascar. It's theorized by some to be ONE of the ancestor arts of capoeira as well, though it has much more of a punching focus.

Moraingy began centuries ago on Madagascar’s west coast as a rite of passage for young men and training for warriors. Over time, it shifted into festival contests, spreading across the Indian Ocean islands. Today it keeps that same rhythm of tradition, courage, and communal pride.

Meet Moraingy, a bare knuckle striking art from Madagascar. Fighters wrap their hands in cloth and face off in outdoor rings while drummers and singers drive the tempo. Quick feints, sharp counters, big heart. It is sport, ritual, and neighborhood pride in one. #ObscuriousDaily #MMA #Culture
