Also I suspect Gideon may have been working for Morgott. They largely hold the same beliefs and both wind up being true believers of a false faith, and whenever you ask Gideon about Morgott he's like "Oh don't worry about him. Fight him last. Go get the others."

I like that LIES OF P's voice cast is just a best of Soulsbornes, notably Anthony Howell (Morgott) as Geppetto

Lastly, when Godfrey returns and finds his son's dead body, he immediately recognizes him, and does not question how he was "cured."
It's been a long while, Morgott

More Elden Ring posting, sorry not sorry: When Morgott is dying, he suddenly looks like a normal (if badly withered) husk, with no tail and no horns, far smaller than he was. A lot of people think this is because he "bled out" is omen curse, or because the Erdtree rewarded him by purifying him.

My PC was actively crashing for around 3 minutes but then suddenly fixed itself and gave me a Morgott jumpscare (he fixed it so I don't cry)

connection to the spirit world. This is mechanically supported: Omen are highly resistant to holy damage and Morgott can use all kinds of holy spells. He is called the Grace-Given Lord. The Hornsent Granddam lays a curse on Marika's children, but it is much more likely to be one of two things:

a symbol of guilt (Marika's) and they're in the shape of a lattice, Radagon's symbol. Radagon is the one who stopped Marika and holds the Lands in stasis, because he is a dogmatic jerk who can't abide a Tarnished, or an Omen, or somebody else's kid from becoming Lord. But Morgott doesn't know that!

// CW: eating disorder mention
This feels like a tonally weird headcanon to have but I'm dead serious about it so I'm just going to say it:
I think Morgott might be anorexic.

The film is apparently a "faithful" adaptation. I can't help but think that if that's the case then Jonathan Pryce is probably there to play Morgott

I’ve also been told that anorexia can be partly motivated by the psychological need to take up less space, something which seems like it would fit Morgott to a tee.

Yeah. Morgott already has what I understand is one of the core psychological features of anorexia, which is a desperate need for control over the features of his body, particularly those that he’s been told are unacceptable.

The Crucible Knights, who are possibly omen/hornsent themselves, do not have tails, they just manifest them when they need them through their magic. Morgott manifesting a whole entire guy from miles away is a much bigger display of power, but he is a demigod.
