After seven years away from major on-camera work, Deontay Wilder returns as an actor and producer in the high-profile film Moses the Black. The film tells the story of a modern-day Chicago gangster inspired by the remarkable repentance of the 4th-century saint of the same name. Directed and written by Yelena Popovic, the movie also stars Omar Epps, Chukwudi Iwuji, and Ahmad Nicholas Ferguson. Wilder’s most recent screen appearance was a brief cameo in the Day of Reckoning trailer before his loss to Joseph Parker. His last substantial acting credits date back to 2019 with roles in Magnum P.I. and Billions. He has also featured in Lil’ Kim’s “Spicy” music video.
