Not only is it Caturday, it's #Saturniday! In which I celebrate by sharing photos of the magnificent Silk Moths of family #Saturnidae. Here is a Luna Moth, Actias luna which which visited last year and posed for a #Mothtrait

A photo of the head and forebody of a pale green, brown and white luna moth. The luna moth's legs are yellow lower down, transitioning to brown closer to the body and are covered in fur-like scales. The body is covered in white hairs, The moth's face has some brown markings, and large feathery antennae extend from just above the moth's black eyes. The leading edges of the wings are mostly brown with some green peeking through. The wings are a pale lime sort of green and just out of focus 2 small eyespots can be seen.
