25 years ago today, which was in 1999 the day after Thanksgiving, the front page of the @NewarkAdvocate announced that Moundbuilders Country Club planned to triple the size of their existing 1964 clubhouse. An artist's rendering shows the current structure in the middle of a much larger complex.

Nope I can't. There are too many worthwhile myths/folklore to draw from. You can't have the lynchpin of your novel be based off a racist tale made up by European settlers to justify genocide.

We don't know much about the society that made them, often called the "Hopewell," but the moundbuilders of Ohio were fascinating. The Great Circle, Octagon, and High Point earthworks are all stunning.
