We have access network connectivity standards today that using (likely) existing copper runs already to your home can support symmetric multigig to the home without even going to fiber.
The tech is there, and in most cases providing multigig to the home won't even require fiber.
Issue is cost.

El router de VERA no em porta cap problema, té multigig compatible amb 2.5gbe però si faig números, tinc més ample pel mateix preu, 10gb+mòbil es queda a 60€, no veig un guany substencial en el preu... crec que hi ha una promo, però per 12mesos...

El problema és canviar el router asus que tinc redera del de la companyia que gestiona la xarxa, és de 2.5gbe i per tant tindria coll d'ampolla.

El router de VERA no em porta cap problema, té multigig compatible amb 2.5gbe però si faig números, tinc més ample pel mateix preu, 10gb+mòbil es queda a 60€, no veig un guany substencial en el preu... crec que hi ha una promo, però per 12mesos...

GLinet routers like the Flint 2 have pure DD-WRT available, although the stock interface is great too. Multigig capable, and they have em on Amazon. Strong recommend.

i found a 4 port 2.5gbe and 2 port sfp+ 10g switch on amazon so that’ll probably be the move

Though obviously a PON will use less power than ramming a multigig connection down a coax cable
so in places where the density allows for enough econ of scale, fiber is still preferable.

Mixing it with the ever growing zoo of multigig-to-the-home. Is going to require some wild upgrades to maintain enough capacity. the mix of old and new equipment will get worse.
