They are not whistles. Kids will want them and it's not safe to give kids whistles (no discretion about where they blow them).

It's multicolor but not multimaterial, and printed on a boring P2S with me white-knuckling through the filament changes.

I could put it up to 75-80C but then the PLA on the plate would be soft and apt to warp. With such multimaterial prints, this is always going to be an issue. So I switched to PLA supports with just a PETG interface. With good cooling settings, I can get PETG to lie down OK on top of the PLA.

Manual multimaterial but still multimaterial.

It really depends on what materials you will want to print. Also, please avoid Bambu labs, they constantly go against open source and have broken licenses in the past.

First thing to keep in mind is if you want multicolor/multimaterial, and what your budget is.

At Night of Science 2026, @ceitec.eu @vut.cz visitors explored multifunctional ceramics in mobile phones. Children compared ceramic transparency and hardness with those of glass and plastics. Thanks to #MULTIMAT3D and #Ceraprint for ceramic and multimaterial 3D-printed samples! #CEITECScience

It doesn't really matter if they are just doing pla demo prints, but it would be nice if they ran their demo unit with desiccant

the novelty will wear off eventually but I am currently very stoked to have a 3D printer that doesn't produce twice as much waste as model for multimaterial prints
