The name references a slow boil of logic and reason until only burnt nonsense remains. ANTI-VAX RALLY KEY TRAITS OF A COOKER: Believes COVID was a plandemic, 5G causes cancer, and Jacinda Ardern is a lizard. Thinks their Telegram group is the last source of truth. Yells "research it!" but hasn't read a book since Year 9. Distrusts government, medicine, media, climate science, maths, birds, the Pope, and sometimes the moon. Absolutely sure the world is run by WEF/Soros/Masons/Disney depending on the phase of the moon. Cannot go five minutes without referencing "the sheeple." AUSTRALIAN ORIGINS: types Popularised during COVID lockdowns as ordinary folks watched bloke-at-Bunnings spiral into full-blown QAnon prophets. Now broadly applied to anti-vaxxers, sovereign citizens, climate deniers. USAGE: "He used to be normal, then he joined a Facebook group about chemtrails-now he's a full-blown cooker."
