musicgen stuff doesn't really surface in my feeds very often (or at all, tbh) but i'm more taken aback by how good claude is at making video without being a videogen model than by the mid p(doom) song

#MissKittyArt is a very determined kitty. All the people that give free #musicgen keep you from playing it anywhere even when they say it's okay to be #non-commercial. Takes a file #conversion to strip whatever DRM is there and it works. Irritating.

One big problem with all the MusicGen-derived programs, including Suno and Udio, is that the algorithm itself is fundamentally uninteresting, and the user isn't presented with right amount and kinds of controls to make anything interesting with them. It's not an artist-centric tool.

the musicgen one has got me properly grinding my teeth. yeah please pay a big chunk of cash to generate generic fart noises. you could wait for a humble bundle and pay like £10 for a pack containing hundreds of human created sound effects and music!
