#MusselRock in #SanMateoCounty sits right at the spot where the #SanAndreasFault goes out into the ocean and heads towards Tomales Bay. There are the remnants of a large, old, wooden warning sign on top of Musel Rock.

More pictures of #MusselRock in #DailyCity, CA. Mussel Rock, as mentioned in an earlier post, sits on top of the #SanAndreasFault that goes out into the ocean at this location. Mussel Rock is covered, unsurprisingly, in #mussels. Do not confuse Mussel Rock and Muscle Beach! 🤣

The low-hanging sun that was to my left (west) is causing this low-hanging #cloud to the north to light up. The offshore #rock with the slanted wooden sign is MusselRock in #DalyCity. You are looking toward the Golden Gate, which is straight ahead and about 12 miles away.

#Paragliders near #MusselRock in #DalyCity, CA. Mussel Rock is the offshore rock formation you can see in the second picture. The #SanAndreasFault is right under this area, and this is the sp[to where the fault goes out to see before making landfall a bit north of Stinson Beach in Marin County.

A wave sprays upwards as it hits the rock wall on the left, while various other outcrops are bathed in the incoming tide. A sharp rocky outcrop rises above it all on the right. The slowly warping hillside near the end of the trail. Pictures do not do justice to just how warped and uneven this staircase set into the hill has become. A pointed rock jutting up out of the water, with various smaller outcrops also above the waterline. Bonus-Back at Agate Beach, the early morning light tries to break through the thick clouds. A structure made from driftwood sits in the small stream that leads to the Pacific Ocean. Shows a little more of the actual beach combing area on Agate Beach, which extends indefinitely in the other direction.
