Weer een omkeerbare #muts gebreid. Ik hoop hem nog lang niet nodig te hebben. Ik heb wat vaker gemeerderd dan nodig was om op een juist aantal steken te komen voor de ruitjes. Ik hoopte, dat de boordsteek de muts weer wat strakker zou maken, maar hij is toch wat te wijd. #MusselburghHat #breien

After all these years of trying to knit the perfect hat, I think I’ve done it at last! It won’t be slipping down over my eyes while I’m struggling with mooring ropes, and nor will it ping off my head when it’s windy. Bonus points for the colour and delicious softness ❤️

Yea! #ShowMeYourKnits is on a WIP week! Since I can't seem to finish anything lately even though the end is in sight, here's the #MusselburghHat I started when it felt too warm to be making winter wear because now I need to finish it before it's too late. Made with leftover sock yarn.
An in-progress Musselburgh stocking cap. The pattern is a long tube that gets folded back inside itself to be worn. The bottom half (of what's finished; will be about a third of the total length) is white and grey stripes. The top half is red and charcoal pooling in swirls. The red and charcoal will be the folded brim no matter which way the cap is worn. The white and grey could either be the outside or the lining.

Turns out I have another WIP for #ShowMeYourKnits: my first #MusselburghHat. I went for Fibonacci stripes after the crown because I wanted to see more of the pooling in the green. 🧶
The crown and first few inches of a Musselburgh stocking cap. The crown is knit in two row stripes between a dark aqua and a variegated green ranging from moss through to deep forest green. After the crown, the stripes switch to a Fibonacci sequence with each stripe being as wide as the two stripes before it combined. The background is a grey fleece blanket over the knitters legs. There is a gallon zip seal bag holding the two cakes of yarn.

A knit circle in stripes of aqua and a variegated green. The knitting is one two circular needles and there are bright light green stitch markers bisecting each needle. The circle is the crown of a #MusselburghHat, which will be knit straight (no increases or decreases) for about 17 inches before decreasing.

Needing another mindless project (my other current WIPs are the cotton Egyptian Stockings and the Anne of Toledo stockings, both of which require brain) I just got the #MusselburghHat pattern and dug through my bin of partial skeins of sock yarn to give it a try. www.ravelry.com/patterns/lib...

Kijk! Muts! 🥰

Een #musselburghhat. Door 'm naar binnen te vouwen, heb je een beanie en als je de rand omvouwt, een muts. En omdat het allemaal verschillende streepjes heeft, krijg je dus eigenlijk 4 mutsen in één 🤯!

I had a vision for this #musselburghhat over a year ago. Owls, ferns & mushrooms - all things my love loves. It took a few rip backs and many months to see the vision through, but this is how I imagined it!

Sort of… if he wants to have the name of his company showing then the green will be on the inside and will form the brim of the hat. He can also wear the green on the outside and form the brim with the black. The #musselburghhat is reversible. I will post more pics when I complete the hat.
