I just realised that Vy'keen sounds close to a Viking, and they're warriors. To the point of self-parody. And Geks are Geck(o)s? They have this reptilian quality. Or maybe Geeks? Korvax bring Corvax the villain from Muzzy to mind.

I didn't intend to take over a month to write this story. My original intention was a "short" vignette, honestly. But I never could write anything short... 😔

Minus one time in... 2019? 2020?
Pain, quick and sharp at first—enough to have made Jonathan gasp—followed by dull ache. He felt a growing coldness creep into his fingertips, his palms. Buzzing in his limbs. A familiar pull on his heart that cobwebs in the corners of his muzzy memory wanted to cling onto. So this is what it's like. Erased and remembered, when Myrrdin took him, plucked out his life. How could I forget this feeling? Geoffrey held him then, held him through their embrace until Jonathan's pulse skipped over innate, human fear into desire. And the beat of Geoffrey's thunderous heart was like a distant siren song in his head, influencing his own body to give in. A storm over a void-dark sea. Jonathan gripped the inside of Geoffrey's knee, trying anything to ground himself back to this moment, to not lose himself beneath it, to not drown. He could kill you. He could and wouldn't you deserve it?
