In 2025 (less than 30 days away), PayPal will start selling your transaction history for targeted advertising.

I very highly recommend logging into your account and going to Settings > Data & Privacy > Personalized Shopping.

If you're reading this, turn that off RIGHT NOW before you forget.

The key update to the Privacy Statement explains how we will share information with merchants to personalize your shopping experience and recommend our services to you. Netflix is sharing your viewing choices with 3rd parties for data collection. You can disable it from a computer under MyAccount/privacy. Read about it earlier and immediately shut that shit down. If we all opt out everywhere there shouldn't be a need for data centers, right?

PayPal is updating their ToS to let themselves give your data to merchants starting in November and they're certainly banking on people not knowing to opt out, SO to opt out before they start:

go to Settings > Data & Privacy > Manage shared info > Personalized shopping, and toggle that shit off
