I recommend MyArcade handhelds just in case every single thing updates at the same time. Also nintendo's 2 game & watch handhelds.
Just in general, have access to something with battery power that can play games and doesn't need updates or an internet connection.

I like myarcade handhelds. True, most of them have only one game and are 30 dollars, and one is full of atari 2600 games and knockoff NES titles, but if you happen to want to play the game that's on one of those handhelds, it is a nice option.
