Recently finished cleaning my studio room (made big improvements in the closet for organizing art supplies and merch) it feels SO GOOD to work in a clean space. Side desk usually has iPad setup on it but doubles as a packaging area. Sharing photos because this is the most tidy it will ever be. 😅

Love hashtag @debbieohi.com started! #MyCreativeWorkspace is as clean as possible, I get distracted SO EASILY (thanks to my ADHD) and I just HAVE TO keep it simple and minimalistic lol (although I used to thrive in chaos)
So far the main distraction is cats haha, well but who am to say no to them

Here's my #MyCreativeWorkspace for the last 13 years! I spend a LOT of time here, under the watchful gaze of Corto Maltese. The door opens onto a busy street full of big trees and a dangerously rickety balcony. I'm so lucky to have a dedicated workspace in my apartment 😭 #kidlit

Here’s #MyCreativeWorkspace! I’m not a super aesthetic vibes person for my space because I’m always making a mess and actually doing stuff, but it’s cozy and I love having access to all of my machines in one place!

My workspace/studio is in transition from an upstairs bedroom to a portion of our basement and I will have so much more room to create. Can’t wait to share

Here's my #MyCreativeWorkspace, for nearly 20 years I was working at a rickety old table with milk crates holding it up and random pieces of wood with a chair that was falling apart. Just last wee I finally got a proper desk and my Ergo chair all set up. Hopefully less back and hip pain.

It's been a while since I last took pics of the studio space so today being a local holiday I cleaned up the usual mess and that's the spic n' span version of #myCreativeWorkspace ✨

My smallish yet clean studio space. Besides illustration and comics I do client work for other tech related ventures here so it must be a multipurpose arrangement. But you can see here which side I enjoy most, evidently Latest addition (last November) has been this linear tracking turntable circa mid 1980s I got on ebay, in full working condition. I do have a full stereo system in another room but I seldom use it these days and I was missing spinning my vinyl collection which is in the hundreds now. The drawing tablet acts as an upright monitor when I have to work on non-drawing tasks thanks to the ergonomic arm it's attached to. I use the Amazon Basics one — cheaper than the rest yet is an Ergotron in disguise. Do recommend it. My usual bunch of books and other stuff. On the wall L to R: version of my character Daniel by Disney animator Tom Bancroft, original Peanuts strip sent in by Charles Schulz himself, poster of the 50th edition of France's Angouleme festival I attended last year.

Heh. Bet mine is the messiest. I'm left handed; painting needs are on the left side of my drawing board. My board is a drafting table from the 1930's, passed to me from my dad-in-law. I love it. The top shelf above the flatfile on the right is all filled-up sketchbooks. #MyCreativeWorkspace #artbeco
My art area to the left of my drawing board; I'm left handed so the things I use for painting and drawing that I need immediately when painting or drawing are on the left side of my board; A small table holds a palette with acrylic paints , a tray of colored pencils, various bottles and tubes and things of paint supplies, an old Skippy jar of paint water, collaging materials, a pencil sharpener, mugs of various brushes. It's very messy right now. The art area to the right of my drawing board: a wooden kitchen cart holds colored pencils, inks, pens, tapes, various supplies, with more storage below. Further to the right is a large white metal flatfile that holds paintings, drawings, and boards and papers. The top of the flatfile is cluttered with lots of papers, sketchbooks, files on projects. Above that and on either side of the flatfile are more shelves, holding more art supplies , more sketchbooks, and more Stuff. My drawing board and drafting chair, with art supplies on either side. All very messy and cluttered right now, as I'm in the midst of a multi-part project.

For me it's essential to be able to dedicate a room in my house to be my workplace. Here I illustrate, design, write, edit photos, work hard and laze around.
