we got new buses at work today!!
it’ll take a few weeks until you see them out on the road (we have to fit bike racks and mykey validators to the buses before they can hit the road, plus a slew of road tests)

You can also just use the new MyKey (now "MyKey+") app, but the (currently free) plastic card is really easy and quick to get at the transit center downtown. You can link the card on the app and reload funds for your account for both on it. I don't know, I just like tapping that card as I board.

turns out he didn’t speak english so I was able to translate for him and get him set up with a MyKey card and back out in time to catch his bus

Just one day away! You can pick up your new MyKey+ Card at the CTC, and reload it at a plethora of retailers across the county! For existing MyKey users, you’ll have until August 31 to use remaining balances, and you will not be able to reload old MyKey accounts after August 1.

Big shout out today to IndyGo, the BRT system that keeps succeeding despite the numerous haters and saboteurs. A kind driver waved me on the bus when I only had my old IndyGo card and MyKey app to use as passes. Another patient driver helped me tap my new card on the new interface.
