Today's #MysterySeabirdDistribution is a curious one. Broadly tropical, but wtf is happening in the S Atlantic?

Who is this?

The next in our irregular series, #MysterySeabirdDistribution! Breeding on South Island, islands around Stewart Island / Rakiura, on Solander Island and the Snares in Aotearoa New Zealand, but then flapping about from Alaska to Chile! Who's this delightful friend?

It’s the Brown Noddy, Anous tenuirostris. I’ve been lucky to see them on Gough Island and the South Pacific.

Tune in next week for another instalment of #MysterySeabirdDistribution
