When you compare the basic elements of the Phoenix myth with the basic elements of total solar eclipses there's considerable overlap. . .

When I researched my intuitive flash aka hypothesis in the early 1990s, I found a whole flock of #MythicalBirds closely associated with the Sun, inc. Horus. . .

This #Phoenix, which in all probability is the original source of inspiration for the Phoenix myth, and a whole flock of other #MythicalBirds associated with the #Sun &or #Moon, must be MUCH bigger than all the planets combined, indeed it's bigger than hundreds of our Sun.

During some #TotalSolarEclipses a bird-like pattern is perceivable in the Sun's corona. When I first noticed this "Sun Bird" I immediately intuited that it was the original source of inspiration for the #Phoenix myth. Subsequent research found a whole flock of other solar #BirdGods & #MythicalBirds.

The Egyptian "solar falcon god" #Horus being one of them.

I'm not sure what you think I could write "much much much better", but I've been researching how #eclipses, especially #TotalSolarEclipses, influenced ancient humanity's beliefs & #symbolism since 1992.

This bird-like pattern seen in the Sun's #corona inspired a flock of #BirdGods & #MythicalBirds.

The Sun's corona displays a large white bird-like pattern during some #TotalSolarEclipses.

This coronal "Sun Bird", seen during the awe-inspiring "death" & "rebirth" of the Sun during #totality, inspired a whole flock of #MythicalBirds & #BirdGods, including some that are waterfowl.

I'm not sure which #waterfowl are depicted, but this "Sun Bird" seen in the Sun's corona during the awe-inspiring "death" & "rebirth" of the Sun known as a #TotalSolarEclipse inspired a whole flock of #MythicalBirds & #BirdGods, including the ancient Egyptian Bennu bird "Phoenix" which was a heron.

When I saw this #Zapotec owl iconography I understood it *could* be inspired by the bird-like pattern that's displayed in the Sun's corona during some #TotalSolarEclipses.
