27. Rosario + Vampire
I am so certain that that Yukinobu Tatsu thing about "reading 100 shoujos" is a flat out lie and he read Rosario and called it a day
Its astonishing how many similarities DanDaDan has with it to the point it became alarming

I adore how this film looked a fuck ton and is a movie I keep thinking back on since watching
I feel watching the Predators documentary prior to this really added to my enjoyment of it

Im always iffy on mystery anime purely because how the mystery and detective characters are handled
While I wouldnt say this is the best Ive seen, I ended it up liking it a lot by the end

19. Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave (Leda Part 1)
Pretty great intro to the game!
I loved her party and I really liked the resolution to her story and how it played out
Bit iffy on some minor reveals involving her story but maybe itll be alleviated by doing other routes

Great adaption of the og, the amount of love Science Saru have for the series just oozes with practically every frame
Now give me a proper Appleseed adaption on my desk by-

This was a roller coaster tonally. one episode is the MCs grandma dies then another episode is the MCs middle schooler friend becoming a naked giantess like what are we doing
The ost being a cross between Evergrace and Madoka is interesting I will say

Came expecting something in the vein of slasher Mean Girls but cant say I got either of those
I feel the camp was there but if they leaned more in the gore or horror and less on the many scenes of just nothing, my opinion would change

8. Tokyo Babylon OVA
This was ok
I don't particularly find the 2 new stories that interesting but seeing the gang animated not ugly or around for more than 2 seconds rather than dying in the movie was fun
X 1999 the movie when I get you-
(its pretty but the story angers me)

God the atmosphere in this unmatched and is unlike anything I have ever seen
Though I remember watching this months ago, I still find myself thinking about it so often

The whole package was, fine
A little boring and dry at times
But watching this after Ergo and Hathaway 2 prior to that, I feel like I really got a sense for Murase's directing style and how the vibe of the Hathaway films ended up the way they did

Top tier sports manga, seriously
