“Take this season’s Brooklyn Nets, for instance. They owe their first-round pick to the Houston Rockets via a swap from the Mikal Bridges trade. Normally, you’d think this would give them no incentive to tank. But in this instance, not quite….” 😐 🏀 ⚫️⚪️ #NetsWorld #NetsSky #NBADraft #NBADraftrules
Tanking is far from finished in the NBA. It might just look different
Teams near the bottom of the standings will shift priorities as the season unfolds. But some have to keep the near future in mind, too.

#NBADraft Having two former 2025 picks waived already this week wasn’t on my bingo card...

No doubt Walter Clayton Jr. (now on a two-way deal with Dallas) & Koby Brea will get more chances in the NBA, but both could also make a massive impact in European basketball if they decided to cross the pond

Fantasy Basketball: 6 last-minute tips to help you nail your drafts
The NBA season starts next Tuesday, and if you're like me, you will be knocking out your final fantasy basketball drafts this weekend. Here are six tips to help you cram last minute and dominate your drafts! Join or create a Yahoo Fantasy Basketball league for the 2026-27 NBA season Check out my free fantasy basketball draft kit! Rankings aren't one-size-fits-all, but like average draft position, they are another data point that can help fantasy managers come draft time. It's impossible to predict the correct outcome for every player. However, you can get a feel for which players are higher or lower than the ADP. If I'm higher on a player, I've likely mentioned them in my sleeper, breakout or fade articles. Get all of those, plus my rankings by format, in the 2026-27 fantasy basketball draft kit. If you want more, the Fantasy Ultra Playbook is a comprehensive resource that'll provide additional insight into my draft strategies, player projections and more for the upcoming season. Utilize Yahoo's draft analysis tool Want to know where players are being drafted? The Draft Analysis tool is the easiest and best way to do so. By evaluating a player's Average Draft Position (ADP), Yahoo analyzes the market across its draft platform to show when players are selected. ADP is a valuable data point when building a fantasy team because you'll want to base decisions on the latest market trends. Which, at times, may be viewed as an overcorrection (an opportunity to capitalize on falling value) or a reaction to new information (such as the Warriors managing Stephen Curry's workload). Mock draft! Pulling the ADP thread some more, mock drafting helps you understand how to adapt during positional runs and how the market may view a player as you approach your drafts. With preseason in full swing and news dropping daily, things change quickly. If you get your draft position early, practice selecting the players you want to build your team around. Have contingencies in case you get sniped. If you don't have a draft position until 45 minutes before you draft, then try mocking from different draft slots to get a feel for each part of the draft. It's very helpful and there's a reason why analysts are constantly mocking — its's not just for content. Knowing what'll be available and where to reach or pivot is key to gaining an edge in your drafts. Turn on Twitter/X notifications for top NBA reporters NBA insiders like Shams Charania, Jake Fischer and Chris Haynes are worth following for the latest news that may impact your fantasy basketball draft. From injuries to player absences, projected starting lineups and more, it's critical to understand the latest news so you can go into drafts with the most up-to-date information possible. For fantasy, Rotowire NBA and UnderdogNBA are the most reliable news aggregators for tracking how the insider information might affect your fantasy teams. Per-game value versus the total value I prefer to evaluate players on per-game value rather than total value because injuries are, unfortunately, part of fantasy basketball. Players like Mikal Bridges often rank higher in head-to-head formats because their availability is a valuable asset. Using Bridges as an example, he finished 16th in total value last season, but if you look under the hood, he finished 40th in per-game value. So he got a significant boost by simply playing more games. On the flip side, Stephen Curry finished ninth in per-game value a season ago, versus 88th in total value. When Curry played, he was a top-10 player. The problem was that he played only 43 games. With Warriors head coach Steve Kerr admitting Curry will be load-managed this year, Curry's per-game value inflates his current ADP. We know who Curry is; he's one of the greatest players (and fantasy players) of all time. Fantasy basketball often comes down to balancing ceiling outcomes and variance. Just because someone might get hurt doesn't mean you shouldn't draft them. The per-game output gives a better read on how impactful they can be. Total value is a reliability factor that still matters, but per-game is the stronger signal. Basketball Monster is a great resource that lets you toggle between per-game and total values from last season. Evaluating player breakouts using betting markets Are you wondering who might be last season's Amen Thompson, Keyonte George or Nickeil Alexander-Walker? Or who makes the All-Star leap? Well, I often use betting markets to determine those candidates. Evaluating player award markets and their odds of winning provides another data point. The markets I'd be most interested in are Most Improved Player, MVP, Rookie of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year. There are also prop markets for most points scored, most assists, most rebounds and more. It may seem trivial, but I'm confident you'll see several of the names listed for those markets emerge as viable candidates to win their respective awards and be valuable fantasy assets this year.

Fantasy Basketball Draft Lessons: Top takeaways from the NBA High Score Creator League
The NBA season tips off next week, and I just wrapped a 14-team draft for the NBA High Score Creator League, with 13 of the Association's top creators. Shoutout to Ben of NBA Recap Pod for taking the crown last year, but it's a new season, with new entrants and more competition. If you're new to High Score, I have a 101 for you, but here's the quick version: you draft 10 players and start six of them (G, G, FC, FC, FC, Util), and only each starter's best game of the week counts toward your score. Scoring is 1 point per point and rebound, 2 per assist and 3 per steal and block. Turnovers don't count at all. We randomized the draft order before the start (trust me, I rarely get the No. 1 pick). Join or create a Yahoo Fantasy Basketball league for the 2026-27 NBA season Here are my takeaways from the draft and what it means for those approaching draft weekend. All rankings referenced below are my High Score rankings, and ADP is Yahoo's as of Oct. 15. Round 1 Pick Player Team 1 Nikola Jokić, DEN - FC Dan Titus 2 Victor Wembanyama, SAS - FC Jason Zone Fisher 3 Luka Dončić, LAL - G Connor Printz 4 Cade Cunningham, DET - G Bebida Tailgate 5 Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, OKC - G Graphsketball 6 Giannis Antetokounmpo, MIA - FC Bjorn Broman 7 Jayson Tatum, BOS - FC Lucas Burns 8 Anthony Edwards, MIN - G NBA Recap Pod (Ben) 9 Cooper Flagg, DAL - G/FC Nick Knows Ball 10 Tyrese Haliburton, IND - G Three Cones 11 Jalen Johnson, ATL - FC IsoScoring 12 Tyrese Maxey, PHI - G Strictly BBall 13 Donovan Mitchell, CLE - G Makeshift Hoops 14 Scottie Barnes, TOR - FC Hoop Venue The first round was about as clean as it gets. The first 12 picks were the same 12 players at the top of my High Score board, just in a slightly different order. Seeing Luka go third overall could be a subtle value grab in this format, as only he and Nikola Jokić averaged more than 60 fantasy points per game (FPPG) last season. Cooper Flagg at No. 9 stood out as a pick that makes even more sense in this format than in others. His best game each week averaged 31% more fantasy points than his typical game as a rookie last season, the biggest gap of any first-round pick. The way Flagg's looked in the preseason, the usage and production could push his value to that of a mid-first rather than a late-first rounder. My pick:Nikola Jokić at No. 1 was an easy call. He averaged 68.6 FPPG last season, the highest in the game. Assists count double in this format, and his 9.8 projected assists alone are worth almost 20 points a night. Jokić will consistently push for 70-point fantasy outings this season and should be the top choice in High Score. Round 2 Pick Player Team 15 Jamal Murray, DEN - G Hoop Venue 16 Karl-Anthony Towns, NYK - FC Makeshift Hoops 17 Alperen Şengün, HOU - FC Strictly BBall 18 Kevin Durant, HOU - G/FC IsoScoring 19 Stephen Curry, GSW - G Three Cones 20 Trae Young, WAS - G Nick Knows Ball 21 Deni Avdija, POR - G/FC NBA Recap Pod (Ben) 22 Jalen Brunson, NYK - G Lucas Burns 23 Josh Giddey, CHI - G Bjorn Broman 24 Kawhi Leonard, TOR - G/FC Graphsketball 25 Austin Reaves, LAL - G/FC Bebida Tailgate 26 LaMelo Ball, MIN - G Connor Printz 27 Evan Mobley, CLE - FC Jason Zone Fisher 28 Paolo Banchero, ORL - FC Dan Titus Stephen Curry going 19th was the biggest tell that this room knew the format. In our Yahoo points mock draft, Curry lasted until pick 36. In High Score, a 40-point night carries his whole week, so the off nights and potential rest/injury days won't hurt as much. Deni Avdija made a similar jump (21st here, 39th in points), though he's 35th on my board, so that one was a bit early for me, considering how much guard depth surrounds him this season. Nick Knows Ball taking Trae Young at 20 was one of my favorite picks of the round. Trae's 10.1 projected assists are worth more than 20 points a game here, with no turnovers to worry about. I have him 13th in this format, and his overall Yahoo ADP is 24.0. My pick: I got sniped a few times, so I went with Paolo Banchero. He's always a better option for points leagues and my projections have him at 24.1 points, 7.8 rebounds and 5.3 assists per game. I have him 23rd on my board, so getting him at 28 felt like a solid consolation after missing out on a few high-end assist guards who fell like LaMelo Ball. Round 3 Pick Player Team 29 Amen Thompson, HOU - G Dan Titus 30 Jalen Williams, OKC - FC Jason Zone Fisher 31 Bam Adebayo, MIA - FC Connor Printz 32 Devin Booker, PHO - G Bebida Tailgate 33 Jaylen Brown, PHI - G/FC Graphsketball 34 James Harden, CLE - G Bjorn Broman 35 Lauri Markkanen, UTA - FC Lucas Burns 36 Brandon Miller, CHA - FC NBA Recap Pod (Ben) 37 Domantas Sabonis, SAC - FC Nick Knows Ball 38 Chet Holmgren, OKC - FC Three Cones 39 Anthony Davis, WAS - FC IsoScoring 40 Franz Wagner, ORL - FC Strictly BBall 41 LeBron James, PHI - FC Makeshift Hoops 42 Jalen Duren, DET - FC Hoop Venue Here's the biggest takeaway from this draft: The frontcourt run started in Round 3, and it was A LOT. From pick 35 through 45, 11 straight FC-only players went off the board: Lauri Markkanen, Brandon Miller, Domantas Sabonis, Chet Holmgren, Anthony Davis, Franz Wagner, LeBron James, Jalen Duren, Joel Embiid, Walker Kessler and Cameron Boozer. That makes sense in a format with three FC starting spots and only two G spots. Over the whole draft, 67 FC-only players were taken compared with 49 G-only players. I like the dual-eligibility guys; more on that later. Two of the draft's best values came in the middle of that run. IsoScoring got Anthony Davis at 39, and I have him 17th in High Score. Makeshift Hoops got LeBron at 41, and I have him 24th. I'm only projecting about 59 games for AD, but that matters less in High Score. If he plays at least once in a week, you get his best game. Bjorn Broman also built the most playmaking-heavy team in the league, pairing Giannis Antetokounmpo with Josh Giddey (23) and James Harden (34). With assists worth double, that's a smart way to build. My pick:Amen Thompson is the kind of guard I want in High Score. He's G-eligible but plays like a big, with 8.2 rebounds, 1.6 steals and 1.0 blocks projected. Steals and blocks are worth 3 points each, so his stocks alone add about 8 points a game. He was also the last guard left in my top 30. Round 4 Pick Player Team 43 Joel Embiid, PHI - FC Hoop Venue 44 Walker Kessler, LAL - FC Makeshift Hoops 45 Cameron Boozer, MEM - FC Strictly BBall 46 Stephon Castle, SAS - G IsoScoring 47 Derrick White, BOS - G Three Cones 48 Trey Murphy III, NOP - G/FC Nick Knows Ball 49 Julius Randle, BKN - FC NBA Recap Pod (Ben) 50 Keyonte George, UTA - G Lucas Burns 51 Donovan Clingan, POR - FC Bjorn Broman 52 Kon Knueppel, CHA - G/FC Graphsketball 53 Desmond Bane, ORL - G/FC Bebida Tailgate 54 Kyrie Irving, DAL - G Connor Printz 55 Darius Garland, LAC - G Jason Zone Fisher 56 Matas Buzelis, CHI - FC Dan Titus The frontcourt run spilled into Round 4. Embiid went 43rd, 15 picks earlier than in our points mock, and that's the format at work. His availability is the whole debate in most leagues, but in High Score you only need one game a week from him. Strictly BBall made Boozer the first rookie off the board at 45, and Bjorn Broman took Donovan Clingan at 51. Both went well ahead of where I have them (68th and 79th). Kon Knueppel at 52 is another one to note. He fell to pick 81 in our points mock, but here he went 29 picks earlier, and his best game each week averaged 32% more than his typical game last season. Clearly, Graphsketball has minimal concerns about Kon's hamstring as we inch closer to opening night. Connor Printz got good value with Kyrie Irving at 54. I have him 36th.  My pick: The point guard run of Keyonte George, Kyrie Irving and Darius Garland hurt my queue, so I went with one of my potential breakout candidates, Matas Buzelis. Last season, his best game each week averaged 35% more fantasy points than his typical game, well above the league average (about 29%). His 1.6 projected blocks help him get there. I project him for 50.6 points in his best game each week, more than Franz Wagner, Boozer and Clingan, who all went ahead of him. Round 5 Pick Player Team 57 Nickeil Alexander-Walker, ATL - G Dan Titus 58 Pascal Siakam, IND - FC Jason Zone Fisher 59 Michael Porter Jr., BKN - FC Connor Printz 60 Kel'el Ware, MIL - FC Bebida Tailgate 61 Tyler Herro, MIL - G Graphsketball 62 Ivica Zubac, IND - FC Bjorn Broman 63 Zion Williamson, NOP - FC Lucas Burns 64 Dejounte Murray, NOP - G NBA Recap Pod (Ben) 65 Jaren Jackson Jr., UTA - FC Nick Knows Ball 66 Alex Sarr, WAS - FC Three Cones 67 Jarrett Allen, CLE - FC IsoScoring 68 Damian Lillard, POR - G Strictly BBall 69 Caleb Wilson, CHI - FC Makeshift Hoops 70 Ryan Rollins, MIL - G Hoop Venue Bigs kept going in Round 5, with nine FC-only picks out of 14. Kel'el Ware, Ivica Zubac, Jaren Jackson Jr., Alex Sarr and Jarrett Allen all went in this frame. Zion Williamson at 63 is another example of the health discount shrinking. He went 16 picks earlier than in our points mock. Jason Zone Fisher added Pascal Siakam at 58 and finished with six FC-only players around Victor Wembanyama, the most frontcourt-heavy build in the league. Dejounte Murray at 64 was one of the best values in this round. I have him 53rd. My pick:Nickeil Alexander-Walker gave me a second high-ceiling player at the turn. His best game each week averaged 32% more than his typical game last season. He's also one of the most durable guards, with 76 games projected, so he'll be in my lineup almost every week. Go Hokies.  Round 6 Pick Player Team 71 De'Aaron Fox, SAS - G Hoop Venue 72 Dylan Harper, SAS - G Makeshift Hoops 73 AJ Dybantsa, WAS - FC Strictly BBall 74 Payton Pritchard, BOS - G IsoScoring 75 Naz Reid, CHA - FC Three Cones 76 Onyeka Okongwu, ATL - FC Nick Knows Ball 77 Ja Morant, POR - G NBA Recap Pod (Ben) 78 Ty Jerome, MEM - G Lucas Burns 79 Dyson Daniels, ATL - G/FC Bjorn Broman 80 Jalen Suggs, ORL - G Graphsketball 81 Rudy Gobert, MIN - FC Bebida Tailgate 82 OG Anunoby, NYK - FC Connor Printz 83 Ausar Thompson, DET - G/FC Jason Zone Fisher 84 Coby White, CHA - G Dan Titus NBA Recap Pod (Ben) got Ja Morant at 77. I have him 60th in this format, and he went well ahead of his overall Yahoo ADP (88.9). Morant is a good fit for High Score. I'm only projecting 58.5 games, but one big night a week is all you need from him. It will be interesting to see if he continues to come off the bench and how that could impact his playing time. Dylan Harper at 72 went 24 picks earlier than in our points mock. His best game each week averaged 39% more than his typical game last season, one of the biggest gaps in this draft. Lucas Burns taking Ty Jerome at 78 was the biggest reach of the round by my board (93rd). I think it's smart, though, because I'm likely too low on Jerome in High Score given how well he played in limited time last year and how good he looks running the Memphis offense in the preseason.  My pick:Coby White was the best guard left on my board, and I got him 12 spots after where I have him ranked (72nd). He projects for 20.8 points and 5.3 assists in Charlotte. With two IL spots, I plan to stash White there if he's not ready by the start of the season. It's always good to give yourself some flexibility to test the waiver wire. Those who scooped up Ryan Rollins early got one of the best values of last season.  Round 7 Pick Player Team 85 Cedric Coward, MEM - G/FC Dan Titus 86 Jaden McDaniels, MIN - FC Jason Zone Fisher 87 Zach Edey, MEM - FC Connor Printz 88 Paul George, BOS - FC Bebida Tailgate 89 Derik Queen, NOP - FC Graphsketball 90 Mikal Bridges, NYK - FC Bjorn Broman 91 Immanuel Quickley, TOR - G Lucas Burns 92 Brandon Ingram, LAC - G/FC NBA Recap Pod (Ben) 93 Day'Ron Sharpe, BKN - FC Nick Knows Ball 94 Josh Hart, NYK - G/FC Three Cones 95 VJ Edgecombe, PHI - G IsoScoring 96 Miles Bridges, PHO - FC Strictly BBall 97 Darius Acuff Jr., SAC - G Makeshift Hoops 98 RJ Barrett, TOR - G/FC Hoop Venue Another frontcourt mini-run hit from picks 86 through 90: Jaden McDaniels, Zach Edey, Paul George, Derik Queen and Mikal Bridges. Edey went 23 picks later than in our points mock, but in High Score he's a sneaky value if he stays healthy — which is a big if. Rookie Darius Acuff Jr. at 97 and RJ Barrett at 98 both went a little after where I have them (83rd and 81st respectively). Barrett is great in points leagues. Mikal Bridges is the NBA's Ironman, but he averaged fewer than 30 FPPG in High Score last year. Durability and efficiency are his calling cards and those skill sets play better in 9-cat formats. My pick:Cedric Coward gives me flexibility. He's eligible at G and FC, so he can slide into whichever slot I need that week. His best game each week averaged 32% more than his typical game as a rookie last season, and I'm projecting 16.7 points, 5.6 rebounds and 3.3 assists in Year 2. In retrospect, I should've taken Jaden McDaniels there. Round 8 Pick Player Team 99 Jalen Green, PHO - G/FC Hoop Venue 100 Collin Murray-Boyles, TOR - FC Makeshift Hoops 101 Darryn Peterson, UTA - G Strictly BBall 102 Zach LaVine, SAC - G/FC IsoScoring 103 Brandin Podziemski, GSW - G Three Cones 104 Andrew Wiggins, MIA - G/FC Nick Knows Ball 105 Norman Powell, CHI - G/FC NBA Recap Pod (Ben) 106 Anthony Black, ORL - G/FC Lucas Burns 107 CJ McCollum, ATL - G Bjorn Broman 108 Jimmy Butler III, GSW - FC Graphsketball 109 Nic Claxton, CHI - FC Bebida Tailgate 110 Isaiah Hartenstein, OKC - FC Connor Printz 111 Kyshawn George, WAS - G/FC Jason Zone Fisher 112 Jaime Jaquez Jr., MIL - G/FC Dan Titus Strictly BBall added rookie Darryn Peterson at 101 to join Boozer and AJ Dybantsa, making it the league's most rookie-heavy roster. I like the confidence and selecting the top three picks of the 2026 NBA Draft is pretty fun. Graphsketball took a swing on Jimmy Butler III at 108. My projections only have him for 36 games, but in this format, that's less of a problem than it would be in points. Like I'm doing with Coby White, you may as well use the IL spot you're afforded. Collin Murray-Boyles at 100 and Brandin Podziemski at 103 are players that I'm targeting across formats. The dual-eligibility players made a run in this round, with seven of the 24 guard-and-frontcourt-eligible players going in round 8. My pick: I took Jaime Jaquez Jr. for the same reason as Coward: G/FC eligibility. That was a bit early by my own board (124th), but his production is spread across every column: 14.6 points, 4.9 rebounds, 3.9 assists and nearly a steal per game. Round 9 Pick Player Team 113 Davion Mitchell, MIA - G Dan Titus 114 Fred VanVleet, HOU - G Jason Zone Fisher 115 Kevin Porter Jr., MIL - G Connor Printz 116 Rui Hachimura, LAC - FC Bebida Tailgate 117 Jabari Smith Jr., HOU - FC Graphsketball 118 Ayo Dosunmu, MIN - G Bjorn Broman 119 Yaxel Lendeborg, GSW - FC Lucas Burns 120 Egor Dëmin, BKN - G NBA Recap Pod (Ben) 121 Andrew Nembhard, IND - G Nick Knows Ball 122 Neemias Queta, BOS - FC Three Cones 123 Myles Turner, MIL - FC IsoScoring 124 Khaman Maluach, PHO - FC Strictly BBall 125 John Collins, DET - FC Makeshift Hoops 126 Aaron Gordon, DEN - FC Hoop Venue The bigs went off the board again from picks 122 through 126: Neemias Queta, Myles Turner, Khaman Maluach, John Collins and Aaron Gordon. Turner is the one I'd avoid. He's a shell of his former self and while he may play well to force a trade, he hasn't looked good enough in the preseason for me to take a chance on him in any format. Queta is a player to watch because Mitchell Robinson looks like a legitimate threat to start and eating into his minutes.  Egor Dëmin at 120 was a fun late swing for NBA Recap Pod (Ben). As well as Lucas Burns taking Yaxel Lendeborg — one of the biggest risers of the preseason. My pick: Reaching for scraps in assists and steals, so I went with Davion Mitchell. His Yahoo ADP is 118.7, but I have him 108th. I like him in this format, but I'd also have no issue dropping him if he doesn't hit early. Round 10 Pick Player Team 127 Cason Wallace, OKC - G/FC Hoop Venue 128 Peyton Watson, CLE - FC Makeshift Hoops 129 Ajay Mitchell, OKC - G Strictly BBall 130 Draymond Green, GSW - FC IsoScoring 131 Toumani Camara, POR - FC Three Cones 132 Keegan Murray, SAC - FC Nick Knows Ball 133 Scoot Henderson, POR - G NBA Recap Pod (Ben) 134 Daniel Gafford, DAL - FC Lucas Burns 135 Jusuf Nurkić, UTA - FC Bjorn Broman 136 Dillon Brooks, PHO - FC Graphsketball 137 Mikel Brown Jr., BKN - G Bebida Tailgate 138 Jeremiah Fears, NOP - G Connor Printz 139 Maxime Raynaud, SAC - FC Jason Zone Fisher 140 Quentin Grimes, LAL - G/FC Dan Titus With only 10 roster spots, many useful players went undrafted. From my top 140, Jonathan Kuminga, Collin Gillespie, DeMar DeRozan, Jakob Poeltl, Tre Jones and Kristaps Porziņģis are all still on waivers. In a High Score league, the waiver wire will be loaded all season, so don't be afraid to cycle through your bench. Though, stashing Porziņģis seems like a stretch given what we know about his medical situation. My pick: With the last pick, I wanted a dual-eligible starter and that happened to be Quentin Grimes, giving me three dual-eligible wings to plug in wherever I need them. And that's the draft. Follow the NBA High Score Creator League all season long to see who takes down the championship.

Celtics reportedly sign G Payton Pritchard to 2-year, $44.2 million extension, with a mutual option
The Boston Celtics are reportedly signing guard Payton Pritchard to a two-year, $44.2 million extension, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania. The deal also includes a mutual option for the 2029-2030 season, and it is fully guaranteed. The Celtics selected Pritchard with the 26th overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft. He helped them win the 2024 NBA Championship and was named the NBA’s Sixth Man of the Year in 2025. Join or create a Yahoo Fantasy Basketball league for the 2026-27 NBA season The Boston guard has been used off the bench throughout his career, but he started 50 games last year, a significant increase from 3 the year before. Pritchard averaged a career-high 17 points per game last year. He also averaged 3.9 rebounds, 5.2 assists, and 32.4 minutes per game. Pritchard is once again projected to come off the bench this season. Derrick White is expected to start at point guard, with Baylor Scheierman at shooting guard. The Celtics will likely rely more on Pritchard off the bench this season, since former guard Jaylen Brown now plays for the Philadelphia 76ers. Despite being a first-round pick, the guard has carved out a role as a depth player. He tended to fly under the radar, but had his first breakout game on April 9, 2023, against the Atlanta Hawks. Pritchard finished with 30 points and hit nine 3-pointers. He added 14 rebounds and 11 assists in his first-ever triple-double. The guard’s best scoring output came on March 5, 2025, when he drilled 10 3-pointers and finished with 43 total points. Pritchard also grabbed 10 rebounds for a double-double. He has 16 games in which he has made at least five 3-pointers. Pritchard is shooting 39.4% from beyond the arc in his career. Last year, he averaged 7.1 3-point attempts per game, the 18th most in the league. The Boston guard’s 37.7% three-point percentage ranked 11th-highest among players who attempted that many shots from beyond the arc. Pritchard and the Celtics will open up the 2026-2027 NBA season on Tuesday, October 20, on the road against the Detroit Pistons.
