During COVID I began implementing the Modern Classrooms approach www.modernclassrooms.org it works very well with a diverse set of learners. I’ve worked closely with this non profit as a teacher mentor, I focused my NBPTS renewal on it & I’ve presented about it on multiple platforms #bfc530

Both of those “providers” - NBPTS and NWP - offer teachers time and autonomy to figure it out for themselves. They are inherently democratic, but within systems/schools, an autocratic approach is often seen as more efficient.

If you went back to the 2008-2009 salary schedule, a teacher with a master’s degree and NBPTS certification could make (and be eligible for full pension with the correct number of years of service) an average of $64,750.
