Rob is extremely knowledgeable on this topic. The thread is an important read regardless how you feel about NBPower or the Tantramar build.
This is why I can support a gas plant in Tantramar despite believing that we need to decarbonize the grid.
We should want NB Power and other utilities to decarbonize base load generation that provides us with electricity 99% of the time. We still need everything we can get for that 1%.

I have no problem paying the CEO of NBPower a competitive wage (competitive in the company with 3 billion budget space)
I have no problem if that CEO is Lori Clark assuming she is meeting some sort of legit metrics and has a road map of change that appears to be working to insiders.

On pace for my NBPower yearly to less than equalized billing (March Settlement) can all change with a cold February but Janaury should be good.

To determine consumption fluctuation, I used avg daily consumption to compare months.
Avg daily Consumption was up 20% mom (10% yoy).
An outlier at 20% but seems plausible?

NB Power has done little to no upgrades or maintenance on their system for years. So management can steal your money through bonuses. Seems more like mismanagement to me. From the 25 million wasted in Florida to the million spent in Europe. The mismanagement of NB Power should not be on us.

NB Power has done little to no upgrades or maintenance on their system for years. So management can steal your money through bonuses. Seems more like mismanagement to me. From the 25 million wasted in Florida to the million spent in Europe. The mismanagement of NB Power should not be on us.

NBPower has been a goddamn mismanaged boondoggle bleeding the NB taxpayer dry for decades. I wished they would just sell the thing and be done with it. This smart metre racket is another way to try to get $$ for its huge debt. Don’t fall for it Nova Scotia. Houston is lying to you.
