The unusual bird sits on a branch among yellow and white flowers and a rose. It has black and white striped plumage, a long orange neck, a small head with a narrow, pointed beak and a broad orange plumage that sits on its head like a punk hairstyle. Info: The bird pictured is a hoopoe (Latin: "Upupa epops"). The male's mating call is a three-syllable "upupupupup".
