🥗 I just came across this NCOA tool showing the participation rates in SNAP, SSI, and Medicaid Savings Programs among people 65+, by county. In Arlington County VA (my hometown), only 21.3% of eligible seniors participate in SNAP.

It seems like there is a tradeoff analysis here. Data ending up in the NCOA database and available to data brokers is antithetical to safety. The same goes for putting the actual home address on a driver's license.

It's something the current administration could remedy administratively, but if Congress rescinds the eligibility rule and HHS *doesn't* act, Medicaid agencies lose authority to "trust" NCOA for updating contact info. Weedy but important!
