Hi North Carolina and Bluesky. Instead of emailing my state senator. I’ve decided to run against her. Please follow, share, and donate! #NCSD25 #southey4senate #fundpublicschools

Honoring all those whose lives have been touched by cancer - your story is unique and powerful, I see you!

When legislators refuse to pass a state budget and the federal government slashes funding, it means local boards have to decide what to cut and by how much.

I showed up tonight to speak up for schools, libraries, and our local emergency services. #southey4senate #ncpol #ncga #NCSD25

Running for office means lots of “firsts”. Such as my first town hall where I got to talk to voters from a ridiculously comfortable chair. And my first time trying to recruit Socksquatch to help me knock doors. #ncpol #southey4senate #NCSD25

Happy Valentine's Day Everyone!

It'd be SWEET if we had a state budget here in NC.

I'd LOVE to see teachers get a raise this year.

How AMAZING would it be if our state government actually funded schools?

Had fun today with the littles delivering Valentine's Day Cards to the Twin Lakes Community and the Liberty Senior Center for elderly community members. Also tried out a fantastic coffee shop in Liberty and grabbed flowers from a local florist. #southey4senate #NCSD25 #ncpol

Hey NC Senate District 25, this could be your senator!

You want…

You need…

YOU DESERVE…

…a Senator who knows Krull, can identify Krull from a gif, and can shout KRULL! at appropriate times.

I think it’s obvious that no one else in the NCSD25 race possesses these traits.

Elect Southey Blanton!

If you are interested in connecting, volunteering, or donating please be sure to check out my campaign website where I’ll be adding things as we get this things started. #southey4senate #nced #NCSD25

Good luck to all the squads from NC Senate District 25 tonight in Round 4 of the NC State Playoffs!

This Black History Month I’ve been reading about men and women from the district I’m running for. I’ll be sharing what I learn about Black men and women from Alamance and Randolph County. #blackhistorymonth #alamance #randolph #southey4senate #NCSD25

I’m not one to look to universe for signs very often. But the fact that I’m running for office and I discovered this picture from 6 years ago feels like the universe telling me it’s the right time to try. #southey4senate #fundpublicachools #payteachers #letsturnthisthingaround #NCSD25

We are 5 days into the campaign and I launched my first weekly update newsletter “Sundays with Southey”, because alliteration is fun and I want to make it easy to keep up with where I’m at and what I’m doing. Subscribe at www.southey4senate.com #southey4senate #NCSD25 #fundpublicschools
