School visit. Lunch at SEED, a nonprofit where students learn ecology and food systems. Dinner at Gold: 14 dishes, traditional dancing, Mali puppetry, djembe drumming. Our Fellows are learning in every possible way. Education is everywhere. #NEAFGlobal

From Cape Town to Johannesburg. Before the flight, many Fellows took the cable car up Table Mountain, a World Heritage Site rising 1,000+ meters above sea level. The evening brought a panel of South African education experts. The learning never stops. #NEAFGlobal

Our Fellows toured Soweto with Antoinette Sithole, sister of Hector Pieterson, whose death became a global symbol of the 1976 student uprising. The day ended with a farewell dinner at Nelson Mandela Square. Ten days. A lifetime of lessons. #NEAFGlobal

Yesterday our Fellows walked Bo-Kaap and visited the District Six Museum, where 60,000 residents’ stories survive apartheid’s forced removals. That evening, Dr. Jonathan Jansen offered a framework for the week ahead. History is not abstract when you stand inside it. #NEAFGlobal
