The larger galaxy is NGC4725 in Coma Berenices 40 million light years away, Its a barred spiral galaxy with a ring structure. Bottom left is barred spiral NGC4747 35 million light years away & is interacting with NGC4725 creating the visible tidal plume.

This is NGC 4725 and friends. Located in the constellation Coma Berenices, NGC 4725 is an intermediate barred spiral galaxy at a distance of ~41 million light years from Earth.

Spring is here and so is Galaxy Season for astrophotographers. The night sky is full of galaxies right now and here is my first one of the season. This is NGC4725 and its 40 million light years away. I captured about 8 hours of RGB data with my Askar 130PHQ. #nasa #space #astronomy #cosmos

At 05:18:38 #bgosays I just took this image for Dave Chapman of NGC4725 (ID 28136) in the LUM2 filter!
