had so much fun today... the endings to this game have left a mark on me /pos
i'm thinking of how touma would be reacting during all this. naturally he'd be taking care of stuff in the village with ryu gone, but the aftermath... if he saw kumori walk up to those gates and not kenji? 😨

i'm a bit sad that they never got into who kenji *is*, or why ryu picked him up as a disciple... so i'm gonna be filling in the gaps with my headcanons lol
as of rn i hc him as sanji's older brother. touma is very close to kenji and takes care of him when ryu's busy

#NGRBspoilers I feel at the end they held the upmost respect for one another. It’s one of those beyond love that people don’t understand. I always compare it to The Boss and Snake in Metal Gear. They even risk their own lives to tell of the others fate by visiting the enemy.

judging by the way they talk about each other when they're not forced together by circumstance? tbh... i can't tell if they're being dismissive because that's genuinely how they felt the entire time or if it's some sort of deflection. but i don't interpret them as romantic at the end

#NGRBspoilers You’re so right on this point with us hearing Ryu’s inner thoughts time to time in the original NES! I would have really loved to have loved to have had something similar.
