La petición histórica del llamado Sur Global siempre fue más bien participar en igualdad de condiciones que la ruptura total del sistema. Por eso defendían el NIEO y no la autarquía, por eso su petición era y es el acceso equitativo al mercado occidental. En ese sentido esto no es tan raro.

Really appreciated this intervention. The problems of our age are indeed those that animated the more serious treatments of development in the 20th century. The notion that "development" is a colonial relic is deeply ahistorical. It was the NIEO that demanded a "right to development."
