In homes built before 1978, remediating damaged paint is not a chore you add to the bottom of your to-do list. It's also not something you should fix yourself. Besides paint, lead poisoning can come from old water service lines, contaminated soil (from exterior paint or vehicle exhaust fumes), antique or imported toys, cookware, baby food, ammunition, costume jewelry, and other products. Learn more: bit.ly/Facts_CLP_En
