3 points for Newell's Old Boys thanks to Maximiliano Rubén Rodríguez.

The club legend came on as a substitute and immediately buried a beautiful free-kick. Time and time again, he has given everything for this club.

83' | 1-0 | Good link-up play from Escobar and Funez. After a neat 1-2, Funez shoots first time but it's straight at Rigamonti in the Central Córdoba goal. Escobar has been great since coming on. #NOBvCCO #LigaAFA #Newells

79' | 1-0 | Maxi with a great chance to double our lead. Funez plays a lovely ball behind the defence and La Fiera gets on the end of it but volleys over the bar from point-blank range. #NOBvCCO #LigaAFA #Newells

67' | 1-0 | GOAL NEWELL'S. GOAL MAXI RODRÍGUEZ.

The 40-year-old comes on as a sub and steps up to take a free-kick on the edge of the box. He curls it low around the wall and straight into the net. Scenes.

Removes his shirt and gets a yellow card 😆
