Landry & Murrill are both up for re-election in '27 (& I'ma keep saying it until election day #NOLASky & every Louisiana parish)…if you're really sick & tired of those 2 alone take it out at the polls
& regardless of what happens tonight (or anytime this week when all votes are counted) we HAVE to keep this enthusiasm up going into 2027! If Louisiana wants change EVERY state official is on the ballot in '27

Just walked to the polls with my son. Happy to report a steady stream of voters walking up the entire time. My friend who works security there said he’s never seen anything like it. #nolasky

Good Morning, #NOLAsky! Reminder that with OPSB closing schools left and right your polling place may have changed. Check before you go and check with your elders to see if they need a ride, because some of these shifts are pretty far.

Do I have to declare a party or something when I vote today? Or was that just for primaries? #nolasky

#NOLAsky A recurring theme recurs…if you are missing a largish sky blue ball that might have blown down N Roman street, it’s safely tucked under the bench on my porch for you.

Since about last Friday, it has gone from "Safe R" to "Likely R" to "Lean R."

I would be happy if New Orleans pedestrianized just the French Quarter

Clearly it's possible #NolaSky
“Paris has embarked on a grand transformation, planting 155k trees, adding hundreds of kms of bike lanes, pedestrianising 300 school streets and banning cars from the banks of the Seine. Parking has been turned into green space…Fewer parents fear their child being run over when they walk to school.”
How Paris swapped cars for bikes – and transformed its streets
Under Anne Hidalgo – mayor for 12 years until last week – the French capital added bike lanes, cut traffic and reclaimed public space, but not without resistance

All Saints’ Day

Catholic tradition holds that we should visit the place where the remains of our relatives and loved ones lie. On All Saints day in New Orleans, people go to clean the tombstones and take flowers to decorate that special date. (continued)
