I support NPSoT choosing violence like this.
Gotta admire the Native Plant Society of Texas’ commitment to the mission. Including poison ivy in their landscape design tool is pretty bold.

It’s Frostweed Day in Austin!! When the weather is well below freezing, the sap explodes into ice sculptures. This Texas native plant is important for Monarch’s fall migration to Mexico as that is when it blooms. Frostweed likes a little sun and a little shade. #NPSOT #NPSOTAustin #nativeplants

Spotted at LBJ Wildflower Center at the spring NPSOT symposium this weekend. Yellow jessamine, Gelsemium sempervirens and White-lined Sphinx, Hyles lineata (hummingbird moth) Many butterflies and bees too. Lots of pollinators at Wildflower Center! #pollinators #moths #nativeplants #wildflowers

I’m learning so much about Texas plants and pollinators at the #NPSOT Spring Symposium. I could listen to Wizzie Brown talk about cool bugs all day. Good thing she has a podcast: Bugs by the Yard! #2025npsotspring

Many areas have groups that focus on growing and promoting native plants, and Austin is no exception. My bet is NPSOT can recommend landscapers who work with native plants, and they definitely can sell you some. Good luck!

Austin NPSOT does have a (paid) member e-mail list. But Facebook is actually convenient for posting & seeing threaded replies, sometimes with attached pictures. Nicer interface than unthreaded email (not hard), & acceptable for casual use.

What is this?

I found this at HEB and believe it was part of the NPSOT sale they had last month, as it was with other Texas natives. Does anybody know what this is? Thank you! by thebeautifulgirls
