Wow the NS's polling guy has changed

Watched HIGNFY mocking NS's "no comment" responses without them understanding it's different in Scottish law where the right to silence is absolute and fully protected, yet in England it can be used to imply guilt. 5 years & £2m later & she had "no case to answer". Watching #BBC do this sickens me!

I'm laughing so hard even though I have no idea what the hell this is about. Wear the fact that you occupied NS's day in absentia as a badge of honor. Still laughing.

Why
November 15, 2025 at 3:11 PM
I should be the NS’s target market - I’m a left wing person who still likes the idea of physical magazines and is enough of a politics knower to be interested in analysis. But it just comes across as so… sneery

This was the start of the year... we were already the developed world's worst performing economy.

Turns out Luxon / Willis were only just warming up, they had work to do to make it even worse, but through bloody minded stupidity they got there folks.

NS's Department of Natural Resources lost its Wildlife Division, a move that concerns those dedicated to protecting NS's species at risk & ecologically sensitive areas. EAC's Karen McKendry, shares how this decision undermines real environmental protection.

This prompt brought to you by my seeing a reference to NS’s The Dinner Party and thinking “There’s no such play, this is yet another AI hallucination.”

Some provinces with an HST have raised concerns about losing revenue due to the federal GST holiday. It's worth noting that they are fully insured against revenue losses if the tax changes are worth more than one percent of revenues. Here's NS's agreement, for example. #cdnpoli

I'm furious at so many of the cuts in NS's provincial budget. They'll impact all Nova Scotians, in ways we don't fully comprehend yet. We didn't vote for eliminating bridge tolls, and now the gov't has to find that revenue loss elsewhere -- like in cuts to arts and culture. As a writer, this hurts.
February 25, 2026 at 3:21 PM
I was the NS's culture editor back then, not the deputy. But in all other particulars Nick Lezard's recollection of my small part in his becoming a columnist is spot on

I hope they don’t do away with ns’s long and storied tradition of putting trains on the ground
It's fitting that in the Trump era railroad barons are likely to get something that even eluded Jay Gould: a coast-to-coast transcontinental railroad.

Happy 1st Anniversary - Nine Sols! It is still 28th in Canada, but it is already 29th in Taiwan so... ah! Heng could finally open that Peach Blossom wine and drink it with Yi to celebrate NS's 1st birthday! Kuafu joined unexpectedly 🥳🎂

- NS's position has always been that transition is not for them bc of their situation, that their situation doesn't apply to anyone else, that transition is necessary if the person says so

- honestly I think this new post sums up this group's sexual intrusiveness, harassment, and obsessions:
July 31, 2025 at 2:50 PM
that was one of the things as well, literally denigrating others for "coomers and porn accounts" being in NS's interactions

they hate sex workers so much

I don't particularly like NS's economic policy, but I would *love* a BiH where my main political concern was NS's economic policy.
August 17, 2025 at 1:09 AM
I'll be completely honest with you - I'm a bit more concerned that the people in the thread are not only doxing NS's name and face, but constantly misgendering them/insisting that they're not trans enough to be trans.

So recently NS’s heritage unit vote revealed a Tag unit to the world

NS 288 makes its way east out of Stevenson, AL, on the CSX Chattanooga Sub with NS's Conrail heritage unit trailing second out on the morning of 1-17-25.

I may write about this more formally at some point, but the degree to which NS's cut-service-and-hike-rates strategy completely kneecapped their Crescent Corridor partnership with states to decongest I-81 is nuts. After billions in govt investment, train service is now *slower* than it was before.

Ah I remember being told "they think you're NS's right-hand man" and I just said "funny, I'm actually left-handed" because it was such a stupid and meaningless accusation. They really can't comprehend any social dynamics that aren't hierarchical. I'm fortunate I wasn't raised like that.
