Because I have Crohn's, I can't take NSAIDs - those are drugs like aspirin, ibuprofen, and naproxen. People with inflammatory bowel disease can't take NSAIDs at all because it can actually cause the IBD to permanently worsen. The only drug I, or anyone with IBD, can take for pain relief is Tylenol.

NSAIDs (which many pregnant women will now take instead of Tylenol) are associated with an increased risk of cardiovascular events like heart attack & stroke. Pregnancy-associated SCAD is also a leading cause of heart attacks during pregnancy & postpartum. NSAIDs increase SCAD risk. I am concerned.

Can you imagine if we tried to evaluate the effectiveness of a drug for an autoimmune condition by excluding all studies to where participants had previously taken NSAIDs (painkillers)?
