You really get a sense of just how nothing NSMBUDX was when it's represented by Mario Just Standing There
The history of 2D Mario.
Nintendo shared this I think when Super Mario Bros. Wonder was coming out, but I really like this image a lot.

I don't get why people call BIS DX a cashgrab when it was a full remake in a different engine from the original, all graphics remade (except what was in previous 3DS entries) and all music remade. Meanwhile NSMBUDX released the same day and is mostly JUST a direct port.

NSMBUDX doesn’t really need it, that’s a Wii U ass game

Galaxy > Galaxy 2 > Treasure Tracker (Wii U) > 3D World > Bowser's Fury > Special Episode > NSMBUDX (optional) > Odyssey > Wonder > Bellabel Park
Treasure Tracker Switch/3DS is also optional cause the Odyssey content is nonsensical and inconsistent with Odyssey itself.

Well that's NSMBUDX finished. A great game still, but after playing Wonder I'll never view them the same again.

Trying to make these levels is actually not easy at all, they're pretty complex when it comes to the whole routing stuff and especially the secret paths to progress.

honestly I wish NSMBUDX was an NSMB collection instead, that game had zero right to be $60 in 2019 and has even less of a right now
