Really, *really*, Halifax folks, write your councillors and the city clerks about this. Even if they're friendly. Even if you already did. The NSPCs are running ad campaigns to try to drum up support for their goofy auto mania.
#Halifax staff are asking that council rescind the decision on the Morris Street #bike lane. That's on the agenda for council's meeting on Tuesday.

What I don't understand (and what would be very interesting to learn more about) is why this group of huge-money investors seem to have so little pull with the NSPCs and the likes of the mayor.

I’m not convinced the NSNDP can win - they’re basically not a thing outside of Halifax these days - but yeah the NSPCs are 100% losing the next election.

Tim Houston & the NSPCs need to hear from people who have left or are considering leaving Nova Scotia. From all the people who aren’t happy with the status quo of only building infrastructure for those that can afford the $10,000-$15,000 a year on average that owning a vehicle costs.

Well, the NSPCs all voted yes on the terrible budget, but at least they voted down one part of the Financial Measures Act that the public spoke out against.

Oh, but turning parking lots into dense housing isn’t what the NSPCs want. They want single family homes each on their own half an acre of land with plenty of parking for the multiple cars that will all get driven into the city every day.
