The Brassknocker fire on the Far South Coast has been contained, burning more than 3,560ha. Firefighters will continue to patrol for hotspots, with the area remaining closed due to hazardous trees. A huge effort by firefighters, aircraft, heavy machinery and the local community.

Went out on an ambo assist today. A bit chaotic - involving an older community member - nothing catastrophic thankfully.
Anyhoo - check in on your elderly family members or neighbours, especially if they have been recently bereaved - grief & loneliness are a terrible combination.
