#wolqotd Do you consider any/all of the relic weapon quests to be canon for your WoL/OC? Are they hype to do the grind for every single new weapon? Can they not be arsed to even do one? Have they only done any attached story (Eureka, Bozja, OC?)

Fteli is insufferable about it. every day he checks and makes notes. Every other week or after every big encounter, he's mending and patching everything. Nýrai is luckily self-sustaining, or he'd be driving some poor blacksmith crazy.

lrp this is why Aureae (and fteli, obviously, but Aureae is like... the Real Succession) continues to use a single sword (nýrai, a part of itself) even while doing freaky magic shit

fteli can sew and he knows how to preserve a book with dedicated skill. he's also capable of fixing physical damage to wooden weapons, especially bows. nýrai, fortunately, doesn't need maintenance like a normal weapon would, but he can mostly deal with heirsbane, at least.
#wolqotd: Does your oc/wol know how to take care of their weapons or tools? Are they one to do their own routine maintenance and repairs on their arms, or do they get someone else to do it for them? Or do they just not bother and pick up new kit when their current ones break?

YES. though Fteli's grimoire was extensively self-written, it was relevant only for the effort of replication. Nýrai, however, was originally a forgotten blade lying around the field where he first forged his pact with Tara and is deeply tied to their shared Aether.
they do go overboard for their phase 2. diamond dust-esque spell freezing the audience, speakers and opponent. rising upright with fteli's grace. the nýrai (sword bound to their pact) manifesting in their hand. probably a dramatic couple lines before shattering the crystals.

fteli has several cases of 'what do you have there?' 'a smoothie' with different people. gaius for his sister, tara for alisaie, nýrai (sword) for gerolt, the Seed of Light for Zero/Durante in the void. many such cases in his life, im afraid.
