called nyship (they oversee my healthcare) and went through an extensive phone tree and when i finally got to the department i needed, the call was lost.

i am very blessed with decent insurance (a perk of government jobs) but i still owe a fair amount to the hospital, specialists, anesthesia, etc. united healthcare/nyship it at the bottom of my list of people i owe money to, they're just not a priority

i have "good" insurance (uhc/nyship) and i still do not like my insurer. while they covered my hospital stays and all my specialists, they did not make it easy. and i am still in debt. i just hate the whole *idea* of for profit healthcare. they don't care about you

It’s also what NYS uses for its Employee specific insurance, NYSHIP. It covers routine medical exams.
