The Media Council has upheld my complaint against NZME, saying Barry Soper’s article on Tory Whanau made a “serious error that cast unfounded doubt on the legitimacy of the process that led to Ms Whanau becoming mayor.” They agreed the correction both fell short and confused the matter further. 1/

NZME & Stuff started heavily syndicating Telegraph stories this term (NZME even did it pre-dating Grenon). The Telegraph are far right, & the stories syndicated are often abject gutter trash. When I say NZ media decision makers are far right extremists, this is the kind of evidence I'm working from
I had heard other people commenting on this particular use of words, but have now just read it for myself in a Stuff article that came directly from The Telegraph, a newspaper who for some inexplicable reason have chosen to use the word “women” when describing children aged 15-17.

If you're wondering why the media will give Farrar, Williams a good old run at denying everything without being specific or proving anything, it's because Hager criticises the media for their uncritical platforming of both of them and calls them lazy which is 100% correct.

So when Nats cut RNZ funding it helps NZME. This helps National in turn because NZME is aligned to National through ideology and key personnel. The attacks on RNZ by Seymour as Deputy PM put further disruptive pressure on RNZ and were followed by the resignation of RNZ CEO.
