Basically he slammed his toe hard enough to damage at the base/nailbed. At this point it is wait and see. Kinda like if you smash your nail with a hammer: will the nail die and fall off or will it just be tender for a while? Time will tell.
So for now bacitracin(sp) and wrapping.

I think my toe itself is fine, but the nailbed is messed up. They actually sent me a message asking me if the nail was discolored, so I guess it's good I'm getting it looked at

since i'm not doing acrylics anymore, my natural nails are out in the open and they're so brittle, like fucking paper but i forgot to file them down and my right pinky nail basically ripped the fuck off the nailbed, like half of it is gone T_T

Then we'll be minor surgery buddies! I had toe surgery two days ago to remove part of my nailbed because ingrown toenail was causing numbness from pressing on a nerve. I have to soak it twice a day in antiseptic and epsom salts before I change the dressing.

I'm choosing to imagine he painted them all gunmetal and then dabbed/drybrushed the rust over select sections (nailbed join, maybe) for that realistic look.
Though you're probably lucky he does Airfix and not Minis, or he might have applied a wash for further weathering!

Impaled my finger in a wheatgrass juicer. Had to get stitches under my fingernail. Doctor had to numb my fingertip with six shots of painkillers before he could remove my entire fingernail (w/ tweezers) so he could put nine stitches on the nailbed before placing the nail back on top like a sticker.

It's my middle finger too. White area around the left side of the nailbed is white and sensitive to touch.

i accidentally ran my hand into the back of Sibling's desk chair and bent my pinkie nail back halfway through the nailbed. ooooh it hurts. and also my finger has reached the stage of injury where my whole pinkie feels like it's being heated from inside out like some kind of horrible reverse sunburn.

Nailbed on one toe looks a little red, but we're not sure if it's swollen or if we're just unused to seeing his toe without fur on one side. Could also be red because he was licking at it before we got to wash his paw.
