Sometimes I wonder if other Americans think of Nakau as the Waffle House of Japan, or if it's just me because of one time I ate there at 4 AM while a couple were quietly fighting and the dude got so pissed, he shoved the automatic door open hard enough that it just stayed open the rest of the time.

Oh, Nakau cheese katsudon, my beloved. I could never in good conscience claim that you're objectively good food. You have barely any crunch, the cheese is bad, and it's always served nearly unmelted. But you're always there for me when I don't wanna think about eating and for that, I'm grateful. 🙏
