Huge thanks to VWT’s fab #Volunteers, who are halfway through #lesserhorseshoebat counts! Each year, these bats are counted in June as they emerge from roosts to feed. The counts go to @batconservation.bsky.social’s #NationalBatMonitoringProgramme and help inform research and policy for the bats.

Now is a great time to spot bats in your area. We had a lovely evening doing just that with the brilliant Friends of Valley Park in Cramlington.
