This is a three-panel comic featuring a cartoon spider and a person with a flip-flop. 1. In the first panel, a small, fluffy-looking spider with big eyes is sitting on a flat surface. A speech bubble from an unseen person exclaims, **"A SPIDER!!"** in bold, jagged text. 2. In the second panel, a hand tightly grips a purple flip-flop, raised in the air. The speech bubble reads, **"I'LL GIVE YOU WHAT YOU DESERVE!!"**, suggesting an intent to squash the spider. 3. In the final panel, instead of harming the spider, the person gently uses the flip-flop to transport it outside onto the grass, where other small spiders are visible. A speech bubble above the hand reads, **"YOU DESERVE TO LIVE..."** The comic carries a compassionate message about choosing kindness towards all creatures. The artist's handle, **@vegan.frank**, is in the bottom right corner.

Wanted to draw a common wolf spider found in many US homes and urban areas. Mostly harmless spiders who just want to be left alone. Let's save a spider!

Digital sketch study of a common wolf spider. Upper left shows a fun fact diagram of a wolf spider hiding in its home. Wolf Spiders will make burrows in loose dirt and wait for pray to pass by. We learned this when my daugher caught a spider to observe over night and it made a little home on the side of the glass, we took a photo and I referenced it for this image. Top Right shows how drawing a peanut can be a good starting point to drawing any types of spiders.

These early 20th century drawings from the Syon Abbey archive are by an anonymous sister, who - despite her 'horror of spiders' - did try her best to like them!

Rectangular piece of card featuring a pen and ink drawing of a religious sister (possibly a novice) wearing a white veil. Her face is turned to the side and you cannot see her face. She is looking towards her right arm, which is outstretched. A spider is dangling from her fingers. At the bottom left of the drawing is written: 'O you pretty dear!' Drawing of a cobweb in the top left hand corner with a spider sitting in it, and another spider dangling down the page from the web. The handwritten text below the web and above the dangling spider reads: 'Shall I ever overcome my horror of spiders! Well - I must [must underlined]. And perhaps in time to like them & train them to come when I call them, & fetch & carry things. Anyhow, I'd train them not to leave their webs where I can't reach them with a duster.' Below the dangling spider, the handwritten text reads: 'Now why should [should underlined] I have to like them!'.
